How to reach Udaipur
Air
The international airport in Udaipur knowns as Maharana Pratap Airport (Dabok Airport) is 24 Km from the city centre. Daily Indian Airlines flights connect Udaipur with Jodhpur, Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi.
Rail
Udaipur is directly linked by rail with major cities. Some important broad gauge network connections are from Jaipur, Kota, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Indore, Bhopal, and Gwalior and a metre gauge network to Ahmedabad. One of India's most famous and luxurious trains, The Palace on Wheels, makes a scheduled stop in Udaipur.
Road
A wide network of bus services link Udaipur with several destinations. There is Rajasthan Roadways Deluxe, Super deluxe and AC buses as well as private travels also available from the major cities. The roads are paved and reduces a significant time if you are using private vehicles to Jaipur via Chittorgarh, Kota, Ahmedabad, Surat or Mumbai.
Local Transport
Unmetered taxis, autorikshaws, tongas and city bus is easily available for local transport.

A captivating collection of exuisite beauty dainty folk toys, brightly coloured garments, hand printed textiles, batiks and tie & dye sarees and fabrics can be shopped around as the rich culture and heritage has given rise to many objects of beauty.
The craftmenship at its best can be seen in the shining metal images rustic and chunky silver jewellery and wooden toys. The animated colours and themes painted on the pichwais or the wall hanging are world renowned.
